Educational Qualification

Candidates having an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31 December 2026.

Candidates who are in the final year/semester of graduation may also apply provisionally, provided they can produce proof of passing the graduation examination on or before 31 December 2026, if provisionally selected.

Local Language Proficiency

Candidates applying for a particular State/UT must be proficient in the specified local language of that State/UT.

The candidate should be able to read, write, speak and understand the specified local language.

Candidates who have studied the specified local language in Class 10th or 12th and can produce the relevant marksheet/certificate will not be required to appear for the Local Language Proficiency Test.

Probation Period

Newly appointed Junior Associates will be on probation for a minimum period of 6 months.

During probation, selected candidates will be required to complete the e-lessons prescribed by SBI. The probation period may be extended if the required e-lessons or performance requirements are not completed satisfactorily.

SBI JA Preliminary Exam Pattern 2026

There will be a negative marking of 1/4th mark for every wrong answer. No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for an individual test or the aggregate score.
