IIT BHU Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
The educational qualification and experience requirements are different for each post. Candidates should check the conditions applicable to the post they wish to apply for.
Junior Superintendent
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 55% marks. Candidates must also have either 3 years of relevant experience in Level 5 or equivalent, or 8 years of relevant experience in Level 3 or above in the specified Government, Autonomous Body, PSU or Research Organization. Proficiency in computer office applications such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
Junior Technician Group-I
Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Chemistry or Physics as one of the subjects and at least 55% marks from a recognized University or Institute. Proficiency in computer office applications is also required.
Junior Technician Group-II
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Ceramic or Materials Science with at least 55% marks.
Alternatively, candidates with a three-year Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline with at least 55% marks and one year of relevant experience can apply.
Junior Technician Group-III
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent in Electrical or Electronics with at least 55% marks.
Alternatively, a three-year Diploma in Electrical or Electronics with at least 55% marks and one year of relevant experience is accepted.
Junior Technician Group-IV

Assistant Engineer
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering. Bachelor’s Degree holders require at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, while Diploma holders require at least 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience at Level 6 or above.
Junior Engineer
B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering with at least 55% marks and 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
Alternatively, a three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering with 55% marks and 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience is accepted.
Junior Translation Officer
Bachelor’s Degree in Hindi with 3 years of relevant experience in translation work from English to Hindi and Hindi to English after obtaining the qualifying degree.
